Time To Un-Elect Biff A satirical artwork that mixes nostalgia from the Back to the Future universe with a sharp political commentary on our times. The original was sprayed at the Haukeland Hospital light rail stop in Bergen, marking the 40th anniversary of Marty McFly and Doc Brown's first time-travel in 1985. This time, they are sent back to correct our current bleak timeline – a future that is suspiciously reminiscent of when Biff found the almanac with all future sports scores and unjustly shamed himself.
The parallel is deliberate and there's no attempt to be subtle: The writers behind the original films have themselves confirmed that the future version of Biff Tannen was inspired by Donald Trump. The hints are clear here – the DeLorean has a bumper sticker that says It's time to Un-Elect Biff , and the license plate BCK 2 2016 points directly to the year Trump was first elected.
Like in the movies, the entire future is at stake, and the only way out is to hit 88 mph, activate the flux capacitor, and change history. Bring Back The Future is both a tribute and a warning – a visual flashback that will make you smile with 80s nostalgia, but also dream of the opportunity to just go back and undo the whole thing.
